Taylor "Tay" Barton
Hello everyone! My name is Taylor Barton, but I primarily go by Tay. I am 25 years old and my first introduction to Unitarian Universalism was here at UUUF in the summer of 2018 when I was hired as an RE Teaching Assistant. I worked here for four years until I went off to the island of St. Kitts to attend Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Although I loved my time abroad, I look forward to coming back to Central Florida and stepping into this position!
I have 10+ years of childcare experience with children of all ages, as well as significant involvement in programs that work with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. When I am not working with children I enjoy working with animals of all shapes and sizes. I personally own two little island cats and a leopard gecko. Other hobbies you may find me doing are reading, art, playing board games, trivia, or DND with friends, volunteering, or partaking in sports like ultimate frisbee or disc golf.

Kat Mitchell
Hi all! My name is Kat, and I’ve been going to UUUF for 19 years now. I was raised in the RE program throughout my childhood and started volunteering when I was 15. I am now working as the RE teacher in the middle and high school classroom. I love seeing our kids grow up to be independent and expressive teenagers. They are my favorite group to work with!
Outside of church, I work at an ER as a Radiologic Technologist, meaning I’m the one taking X-rays of broken bones. I love gardening and being outdoors. You will most likely see me being chased by kids on the playground!

Maddie Packham
Hi! My name is Maddie Packham. I am currently finishing my degree in health care administration at Seminole State College. My sisters and I were raised in the RE program here at UUUF. As I got older, I began volunteering in the RE classrooms and am now the teacher of the upper elementary classroom.

Lana Major
Hello! My name is Lana, and I'm a junior in high school. I was raised in the RE program, and in the summer of 2025, I was hired to be the RE teacher for the Littlest UU classroom.
I currently have several certifications, including certifications in ITS, Early Childhood Education Level 2, and Excel/other computer programs. I plan on majoring in Industrial Engineering when I get to college.

As UUUF's office administrator for almost three years, I am happy to help our Board of Trustees, our members, and our visitors with any questions they may have. My background: After 23 years in education, I retired from the classroom and virtual teaching in 2023. Other past experiences include seven years as a program director for a summer camp, serving as the manager of a personnel firm, teaching an outdoor survival course to homeschooled teens, and supporting a Scout troop as its leader. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and look forward to being a lifelong learner.
Organization is important to me, and I pride myself on accurately completing every task. My hobbies include creating mixed-media art, reading, and gardening.
