Dear Members and Guests:

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization in March 2020, is still upon us.

After months of lockdown and cancellation of in-person activities and Sunday services, vaccination against COVID-19 has made it possible for many of us to circulate in the community, return to work or school, meet with friends and family, and NOW return to in-person events, activities, and services at UUUF.

The CDC, and Florida state and county governments, have revised guidelines to allow for larger assemblies of persons, both outdoors and indoors, with face masks no longer required for those who have been vaccinated. Social distancing and hygiene practices such as handwashing with soap are still recommended.

We understand that some individuals, due to immune status or underlying conditions, cannot be vaccinated; and younger children are not yet being offered the vaccine. We ask all those who are not vaccinated to wear face masks and make every effort to socially distance themselves.

We invite any and all to mask at any time for any reason. We will not be asking your vaccination status or reason for wearing, or not wearing, a mask.

We ask anyone who is experiencing possible influenza or COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell) to stay home, rest, isolate, and recoverWe ask the same to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days or been in contact with a person positive for COVID-19.

Notwithstanding, even with vaccination, masking, enhanced hygiene, and other preventive measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19, NO ONE can guarantee that you or your family members will not become infected. It is important to know that no vaccine offers 100% protection and that new Covid-19 variants are emerging, circulating freely, and causing surges of cases and hospitalizations in many geographies.

We at UUUF will continue to do everything we can to communicate best practices, be compliant with all regulations, and change them when necessary to ensure all of our safety. By participating in in-person programs, services, and activities of the University Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, you agree to the following:
