“Righteous Resistance: Protests, (Mis)Representation, and the Movement for Black Lives”
with Dr. Jonathan Cox
The killing of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and other Black Americans by police has spurred an unprecedented level of protests and demonstrations in the U.S. (and around the world), calling for increased accountability for police officers and long-overdue reforms in policing and the criminal justice system. This conversation will address the increased national debate and proliferation of misinformation and misrepresentation of protests and protesters, in particular those associated with the Black Lives Matter movement.
