Sunday Service with UUUF
“Immigration and Children”
with Melissa Marantes
Attorney Melissa Marantes of the Orlando Center for Justice (OCJ) will address the congregation to speak about immigrant children who face enormous problems in our system. OCJ, who is our Share-the-Plate recipient for this quarter, works to bridge the access to justice gap in Central Florida by using technology, education and innovative programs to reach a wide range of underserved communities. They are committed to providing legal relief to vulnerable and underrepresented populations in Florida with a focus on newcomers through a holistic healing lens.
