“Hidden Figures – The Intimately Oppressed”
with Mary Ann Feldheim
When celebrating Women’s History Month, it is important to understand the role women have played in our patriarchal, capitalistic society. We proudly celebrate the accomplishments of women and the gains women have made during the last 100 years to legally secure equality and freedom. This year more than any other in the past, these legal gains are under attack and are being rescinded in Florida and around the country. Our principles dictate that we educate ourselves on the implications of proposed legislation and court decisions and exercise our democratic rights to support the equality of women.
We are a welcoming community! We welcome all to our Sunday services and programs — regardless of age, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation. We hear from a wide variety of academic, spiritual, and social justice speakers. Our Sunday Services are designed to illuminate different spiritual paths and strengthen our sense of self, family, and community.
