Philosophy – Unsolved Mysteries
Following last week’s discussion, we will explore Philosophy and the questions that remain unanswered. Is the universe real? What is morality and why do we need it? Also, we will cover Karl Popper’s idea on “falsifiability”, which shows how science is building up knowledge of the world by disproving certain items as false, but nothing is ever proven to be true. Applied to the vast landscape of Philosophy, this explains why much is unanswered.
The modern age also brings new questions to Philosophy. How are love and ethics-related? Why can’t people with political power agree on priorities? In addition, why can’t we recognize the contributions of women to Philosophy? Please join StoicDan this Sunday for “Philosophy – Unsolved Mysteries”. We hope you’ll read the following material and bring a friend to the discussion. Hope to see you there!
Article 1 – New Questions in Philosophy
Article 2 – Philosophy’s Lack of Progress
Article 3 – Great Philosophical Questions
