Inquiring Minds

THIS WEEK    |   Listen Online via Zoom    |    Meeting ID 863 9059 0096

The Brain and Buddhism

In December 1996, Jill Bolte Taylor, an American brain scientist, had a stroke. It was one of the most extraordinary experiences of her life. In her TED Talk, she describes how the two hemispheres of her brain stopped talking to each other, and then she felt a profound sense of harmony with the world around her. Her presentation also covers the attributes and functions of the left and right brain. On Sunday, please join StoicDan in a review of this memorable video, plus an article on Buddhist meditation and brain science. You can also bring a friend to this fascinating discussion!
