One of the principles of our faith speaks of the importance of a "free and responsible search for truth and meaning." We believe this search begins as soon as a child can think and continues throughout his or her lifetime. Our Director of Religious/Spiritual Education, Judith Stein-Farrall, and our dedicated RE committee strive to inspire, enlighten, and encourage adults and children alike to develop their own core of meanings, values, and commitments and reach their life-long spiritual potential.
Youth Religious Education
Striving to help families build a solid base for religious exploration, our Youth R.E. program gives children the building blocks that enable them to live in a way that is right within themselves and their communities.
Through stories, discussions, and various types of enjoyable activities, our children learn about our shared Unitarian Universalist values, how to distinguish right from wrong, the diversity of religious belief, and the importance of questioning and forming their own beliefs.

Unitarian Universalist adult religious education helps to give interested members the information and support necessary to find their own way along their spiritual path.
Each week, our Inquiring Minds group meets to discuss a chosen topic in an informal setting in our R.E. building, behind the main building. Subjects include religion, current events, politics, and science, among others. Drop-in visitors are always welcome. If you wish to be placed on the mailing list for notifications of topics and suggested readings, please send an e-mail to the IM facilitator.
In addition, we hold occasional Adult RE classes that run for 4-6 week periods and are based on a UU curriculum chosen according to the interests of our members. Each mini-course is designed to explore a topic without a long-term time commitment.
O.W. L. — "Our Whole Lives" Curriculum
Jointly developed by the Unitarian Universalist Association and the United Church of Christ, Our Whole Lives is a series of sexuality education curricula established to help both children and adults make informed and responsible decisions about their sexual health and behavior. UUUS offers this curriculum from time to time, utilizing trained OWL facilitators.
